As someone situated squarely in the sandwich generation, stillness is a luxury. Photography is a mindfulness practice: a moment to stop, focus in, and document the quiet, unhurried life of flowers and plants or the chaos of the world around them. Light, color, and beauty is all around us, if only we slow down long enough to see it. This series of plants is a small but grounding counterpoint to my outrageous adventures from the middle of the sandwich.
